Fair Trade

Fair trade guarantees sustainable employment and provides support for economic self-sufficiency of producer by paying appropriate and fair purchase prices through direct trading with the producers’ cooperative. In addition, by donating portion of profits generated from sales for maintenance of environment at the production site, foundation is established for production of organic or environment-friendly products and supply of high quality products that consumers can purchase with faith. Fair trade achieves equal redistribution of wealth through trading practice that is beneficial to both producers and consumers.
FINE (FLO, IFAT (WFTO), NEWS! and EFTA), the representative fair trade network federation of the world, defines fair trade and fair trade organization as follows.

• Fair trade, based on dialogue, transparency and respect,
  is a trading-based partnership pursuing relationship with greater equality (and righteousness) in international trading. In particular, by provide better trading conditions to the producers and laborers alienated from the benefits of economic growth in developing countries, it protects their rights of the producers and laborers, and makes contributions towards sustainable economic progresses.

  Fair trade organization, on the basis of the support of consumers,
  leads movements and campaigns for improvement of the consciousness in order to provide support to producers and to reform the existing general practices of and laws related to trading.
